With Marie Jaroni at the helm, Germany’s largest steel group will be led by a woman in future. She will succeed Dennis Grimm on 1 November on a five-year contract, as Thyssenkrupp Steel Europe AG announced on 31 October.
“Over the past few months, Marie Jaroni has succeeded in setting a new course for the steel business with strategic vision, persuasiveness and great dedication,” said Ilse Henne, Chair of the Supervisory Board. Jaroni conducted the crucial negotiations on the restructuring collective agreement in a goal-oriented, consensus-driven and fair manner, as Knut Giesler, Deputy Chair of the Supervisory Board, emphasised.
The Supervisory Board has also extended the contract of CFO Philipp Conze, who has been Chief Financial Officer at thyssenkrupp Steel since 1 April 2024, by five years, also with effect from 1 November 2025.
The outgoing head of the steel division, Dennis Grimm, is stepping down from his posts.
