Novelis, which describes itself as the world’s largest manufacturer of rolled aluminium products, has been awarded Bronze status under the international Aero Excellence Initiative for its plant in Koblenz. This award underlines the site’s ongoing commitment to improving production systems, strengthening environmental and safety measures, and reaffirming the company’s long-standing commitment to the aerospace industry.
Aero Excellence was launched by leading European aerospace associations and provides a uniform standard for assessing industrial maturity and supply chain performance across the entire aerospace sector. Bronze status certifies that the Koblenz plant has successfully undergone a rigorous, multi-stage assessment process, comprising a comprehensive self-assessment followed by an independent audit by certified assessors. As part of the assessment process, the Koblenz site demonstrated that it meets the fundamental requirements in the areas of operational excellence, environmental responsibility and secure digital infrastructure.
