Henan Fengbao Special Steel installs new continuous casting line

The Chinese steel company Henan Fengbao Special Steel will in future be able to cast ultra-large, high-alloy billets with a diameter of up to 1,000 mm.

Henan Fengbao Special Steel has awarded Danieli a contract for a new continuous casting line for high-alloy round billets in the Chinese province of Henan. The three-strand casting line will produce ultra-large, high-alloy round billets with a diameter of up to 1,000 mm, including grades such as P91/P92.
These steels meet high mechanical requirements for specialised applications, such as pressure pipeline components in the energy, oil, chemical and metal industries.
Danieli’s scope of supply includes the complete core plant design, the supply of key equipment, and the Full Danieli Automation L1 and L2 automation systems.
