Interview on Messe Düsseldorf’s ecoMetals campaign with Friedrich-Georg Kehrer, Global Portfolio Director
The new GIFA and METEC Indonesia events will create new platforms for Indonesia’s burgeoning metallurgy and foundry industry.
The countdown is on – companies from all over the world can now register for the quartet of trade fairs: GIFA, METEC, THERMPROCESS and NEWCAST. These leading international trade fairs, featuring a conference and a high-calibre supporting programme for foundry technology, cast products, metallurgy and thermal process technology, will take place in Düsseldorf from 12 to 16 June 2023.
The international trade fair THERMPROCESS China made its debut as part of wire and Tube China from 23 to 26 September 2020 at the Shanghai New International Expo Centre (SNIEC). In a 500-square-metre themed pavilion, around 20 companies – alongside the equally new Saw EXPO China – showcased their technological innovations.
Gerrit Nawracala (46) has been the new Project Director for Metallurgy & Foundry Technologies since 1 September 2020. He will therefore also be in charge of the leading trade fairs GIFA, METEC, THERMPROCESS and NEWCAST, which are due to take place in Düsseldorf from 12 to 16 June 2023.
With Inter Foundry, “The Bright World of Metals” is further expanding its international presence and will be bringing the global foundry industry to Coimbatore from 10 to 12 September 2026. The trade fair, powered by “The Bright World of Metals”, brings together leading technology providers, machinery manufacturers and end-users.
After five eventful days at the trade fair, “The Bright World of Metals” came to a successful close on Saturday 29 June, having impressively reaffirmed its international leadership as the world’s most important trade fair platform for metallurgy and foundry technology.
The NEWCAST Award is a real highlight of Bright World of Metals: In a festive ceremony, Wolfram Diener, Managing Director of Messe Düsseldorf, presented the trophies to Impro International Ltd (Hong Kong), DGH Sand Casting Corporate GmbH & Co. KG (Friedrichshafen) and Feinguss Blank GmbH (Riedlingen).
The Düsseldorf native was appointed to this post at today’s executive committee meeting of the trade fair quartet comprising GIFA, METEC, THERMPROCESS and NEWCAST.
“Excellent from start to finish,” was the praise from an EMC exhibitor, allowing us to look back with pride on a successful European Metallurgical Conference, EMC 2017.
